Each month, filmmakers are invited to to upload their shorts to Shooting People to take part in their Film of the Month competition. At the end of each month, three finalists have their work reviewed by one of Shooting People's patrons and one film is picked to win. Past judges have included Sally Potter, Larry Charles, Michael Nyman and Penny Woolcock. This programme of shorts represents some of the highlights from 2009 and includes Peter and Ben, about the unique bond between one man and his sheep, and Tashtastic, reporting from the Biannual World Beard and Moustache Championship.
