Best of the Fests

Free rolling programme of shorts throughout Thursday and Friday.

In the heart of the business district, Cafe Costes is a ray of independent light. It’s the perfect milieu to take some respite and enjoy a terrific programme of short films playing throughout Thursday and Friday. Thursday’s programme will include award-winning fare from Wolverhampton’s FLIP International Animation Festival, la crème de la crème from London’s UnderWire Festival which recognises the best short work made by women in the film industry. And we’ll also be showcasing some of the best submissions to this year’s festival from our Pick’n’Mix programme, an engaging, sometimes funny, sometimes thought-provoking, selection of shorts from far and wide.*

*Please note that the programmes screening at Café Costes and Urban Coffee will alternate on Friday 16th March.

This screening is part of Film Bug, a festival within a festival which takes over venues across the Colmore district of the city centre from 14-16 March.
